and continues right through today.

Dean Playlist Player
|
| Arnold Dean is a veteran
radio broadcaster who debuted "One Night Stand with the Big
Bands" on Nov. 1, 1970 on WTIC, Hartford. Over the years,
he has interviewed many big band personalities. Fortunately, many
of his interviews are now available online and easy to download.

Remember
When Playlist Player
|
This Playlist includes three different series
of broadcasts that I think you will enjoy.
1. "Great Concert in the Sky" is a nostalgic look
at the big band leaders from the 1930's and 1940's who are
no longer with us. Teddy Phillips and His Orchestra bring
back some wonderful memories of the Swing Era.
2. "Live from Club 15" is a set of recent CD's
featuring broadcasts by a variety of big bands performing
in Las Vegas in the mid-1960's.
3. Listen to soundtracks of "Lady Sings the Blues"
(Diana Ross) and "Forget Paris" (Artie Kane)-- plus
"Sinatra at the Sands" with Frank Sinatra and Count
Basie (1966). To wrap up "Remember When," enjoy
"Songs by Sinatra" from the mid-1940's.
