PLAYLISTS PLAYERS

Our Playlist players below offer you a convenient way to listen to a variety of radio broadcasts from days gone by. However, some nations -- for instance, Argentina, Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom -- block Playlist players.

NOTE: Please allow a few moments for this Page to load. Once it has, you will be glad you did! You can spend weeks listening to all of the radio programs on this Page!

If you find this page loads too slowly for your computer, simply click on the Playlist you wish to hear:

Tuxedo Junction Playlist Player

Each of the song files in the Tuxedo Junction Playlist Player is a playlist of about 20 big band songs. I hope you enjoy listening to them. Many of the bands are featured here on Tuxedo Junction.

The Palomar Playlist Player
The Palomar is a big band broadcast blog where members share their memories and offer comments about the Swing Era, which for us began in the 1930's and continues right through today.

The Palomar is located at: http://thepalomar.blogspot.com

Arnold Dean Playlist Player
Arnold Dean is a veteran radio broadcaster who debuted "One Night Stand with the Big Bands" on Nov. 1, 1970 on WTIC, Hartford. Over the years, he has interviewed many big band personalities. Fortunately, many of his interviews are now available online and easy to download. Just follow this link:

Remember When Playlist Player
This Playlist includes three different series of broadcasts that I think you will enjoy.

1. "Great Concert in the Sky" is a nostalgic look at the big band leaders from the 1930's and 1940's who are no longer with us. Teddy Phillips and His Orchestra bring back some wonderful memories of the Swing Era.

2. "Live from Club 15" is a set of recent CD's featuring broadcasts by a variety of big bands performing in Las Vegas in the mid-1960's.

3. Listen to soundtracks of "Lady Sings the Blues" (Diana Ross) and "Forget Paris" (Artie Kane)-- plus "Sinatra at the Sands" with Frank Sinatra and Count Basie (1966). To wrap up "Remember When," enjoy "Songs by Sinatra" from the mid-1940's.
